August 7-8, 2023 – Thermopolis, WY

Monday morning, we drove to Thermopolis through the beautiful Wind River Canyon.  We are staying at Eagle RV Park.

After getting the motorhome set up, we went to Hot Springs State Park.  The park is beautifully landscaped and has a variety of hot springs pools, hiking trails and a herd of buffalo.  We drove a scenic loop that wound through the bison pasture.

The first bison was introduced in 1916 with a bull from Yellowstone National Park with cows from Kansas.

We stopped at an overlook that gave us a beautiful view of Thermopolis and the surrounding mountains.

Tuesday was cloudy so we did our laundry and, in the afternoon, Rex went fishing on the Bighorn River.  We think our rainy days are over as the forecast is showing hot, sunny days for the next week.
