October 8, 2015 – Yuba City, CA

Thursday morning we said good-bye to Doug and Barb and headed south to California.   We stopped in Yuba City and spent the night at the fairgrounds.   This was a really nice campground with water and electric hookups and we were parked on grass under the trees.   It has been really hot all day and we were glad for the shade.

October 3-7, Valley of the Rogue State Park, OR

Saturday we headed inland and drove to Valley of the Rogue State Park – a very nice park between Grants Pass and Medford along the Rogue River.   The only bad thing about this park is that it is right next to I-5 so you get a lot of traffic noise.    We are meeting our friends from Terrebonne, OR, here, Doug and Barb.     The Rogue River Greenway Trail, a 30 mile paved biking trail, goes through the park and it was nice walking the dogs on short walks along the river.   The weather here has also been great - sunny and in the mid to upper 80’s. On Sunday Doug & Barb joined us with their 5 th wheel.   Doug and Barb are the friends who were going to keep the dogs for us while we were on the cruise until their house flooded while they were on a two week trip.   They had to move into their 5 th wheel and have spent the last two months remodeling their house.   The house is almost finished and they decided to take a break and also visit their son and grands
