May 25-June 14, 2015, Chama, NM – continued

We finally have a couple days with the sun shining at least part of the day so we were able to get a picture of our camp site.  Once again we are fortunate to get a long site so we can park both the truck and the Jeep on our site.

The train started running on the 23rd and it is great to hear the whistles and watch the train go across the trestle behind the RV Park.  The Chama River has gone down some but is still running very high.

With the rainy weather we didn’t do much other than volunteer on the train and walk the dogs between rain storms.  Before we knew it, though, our month here has come to an end.  As always, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the Rio Chama RV Park, seeing all our Chama friends and, of course, our work with the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad.  On June 15th we are heading north to Colorado where they have also had a great deal of rain this spring.
