October 21, 2015 – Heading for Home

Wednesday morning we hooked up and headed towards home – our summer travels are over the 2015!   We arrived in Apache Junction mid-afternoon and are excited to spend our first winter in our new home.  We spent a few days unloading and cleaning the 5^th wheel and trying to find a place for everything in the house.  Sunday we took the 5^th wheel and truck to the storage lot where we will store them for the winter.  We didn’t realize how hard it was going to be to leave the rig in a storage lot – we have never stored them before!  In Colorado we kept them in our yard and for the past 7 years we have lived in the 5^th wheel.  The storage lot is a short distance down the road so we will be able to check on them every so often.  Now we can concentrate on getting the dust out of the house and things organized the way we want.  We are going to convert the third bedroom into an office so we need to sell the bed and get a desk.   I will update the blog occasionally over the winter to let you know what we have been doing but won’t post regularly until we start our travels again next summer.
