Rex and Nancy's Travels - "ALL WHO WANDER ARE NOT LOST" - JRR Tolkein

Sunday morning we took the Blackball Coho Ferry across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Port Angeles, WA.   It rained on us during the short drive to the Ferry but the trip across was dry but foggy - we were again fortunate to see a whale during the crossing. We spent Sunday and Monday nights at the Elwha Dam RV Park just outside Port Angeles.   We turned our cell phones back on and begin calling our parents, children and siblings to let them know that we are back in the country.   We have been wanting to check out the Salt Creek Recreational Area as we heard they have a nice campground.   This is a beautiful Chlallam County Park that has a wonderful campground with a great ocean view.   We will definitely stay here the next time we come to this area.

Thursday morning we drove to Pagosa Springs, CO where we spent the night is a nice park along the Blanco River.   Friday morning we drove on to Chama, NM where we will spend the month of September while Rex volunteers as a Docent on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.   Nancy’s shingles continue to improve each day although they are still very painful.
