Rex and Nancy's Travels - "ALL WHO WANDER ARE NOT LOST" - JRR Tolkein

We dropped our luggage off at the 5 th wheel and then went to pick up Cody and Camille from the kennel (the Jeep is not big enough for both dogs and luggage).   The dogs were very happy to see us and we were just as happy to see them – we definitely missed them!    The kennel had given them a bath earlier in the morning and the groomer told us Camille had a big mat between her toes.   While trying to get the mat cut out she got a little close to the skin on her toes - Camille is limping and it is very red between her toes.   We put some Neosporin on it when we got back to the 5 th wheel.   We also noticed that Cody was not opening his right eye completely and that it was weeping a little. Tuesday morning Cody’s eye was worse so we took him to a vet in Tacoma and he has an ulcer on his eye.   The vet said it could have been bumped or poked while he was at the kennel and gave us some antibiotic drops to put in it.   All was fine until aroun...

Early Wednesday morning we took the 5 th wheel to Camping World and got our new refrigerator installed.   We then went to our friends, Tim and Teri, house where we are camped in their backyard while we get ready for our cruise.   Tim and Teri are kind enough to not only let us camp in their big beautiful backyard but they are letting us keep the 5 th wheel and truck here while we are on the cruise.    It looks like an RV park in their backyard as another couple from Golden Sun in Arizona are staying here in their motorhome and Teri’s son stores his 5 th wheel here. We are busy getting things ready for our two-week cruise to Alaska and we also checked out the kennel where we are boarding Camille and Cody.   We have never kenneled these two dogs - in fact we have only left them once for a week with friends.   It will be interesting to see how the dogs fare but we are sure it is going to be harder on us than on the dogs.

Tuesday morning we drove in the rain to Puyallup which is just outside of Tacoma where we stayed at the Majestic Mobile Manor.   We have an appointment at Camping World nearby on Wednesday morning to get our new refrigerator.
