June 27-30, 2015 – Port Angeles, WA
We finally arrived in Port Angeles Saturday afternoon and are staying at the Elwah Dam RV Park (a dam fine place) a few miles west of town. Saturday night we had to dry camp in their overflow area but were able to move to a regular site around noon on Sunday. After getting set up we did some grocery shopping and spent the rest of the day relaxing after our long and hot 5 day drive. Our site is a little narrow but it is shady and we can watch horses grazing in the trees behind us. The weather here is in the 80’s and is wonderful. We were here two years ago and did a lot of touring of the area so we are not going to do a lot this time. Monday morning we drove to Olympic National Park and drove to Hurricane Ridge.
