May 19-20, 2014 – Brighton, Colorado

Image
We left Limon late Monday morning for the short drive to Brighton where we visited our friends Terri and Bill. They have a very nice house on 2 ½ acres and they let us park in their driveway.     It was nice to park in a beautiful, quiet place for a couple of days after the long drive from south Texas.   We are very happy to be back in Colorado. We enjoyed visiting with Bill and Terri and helping them put in a new flower bed.   We enjoyed working in their yard but we are glad we don’t have to keep up a large yard any more.   We also got to help celebrate Terri’s birthday at Thai Basil, a great restaurant in Thornton.   Thank you, Terri and Bill, for your friendship and hospitality.

The 120,000 sq ft flight deck had about 20 vintage aircraft displayed.    We were also able to go into one of the anti-aircraft gun stations.   We toured the super structure and Jen enjoyed the great view of the flight deck from one of the officer’s chairs. We next toured the lower
